Ukrainian defender Serhii Stepanovych Ronevych has joined the Heavenly Legion. He was 39 years old.
The soldier stood up to defend Ukraine from the beginning of the full-scale invasion. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the 46th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Magura” and remained in service until October 2025.
After a long struggle with a serious illness, Serhii Ronevych passed away on June 7.
Sheptytskyi City Council expressed sincere condolences to the Hero’s mother, his wife Anna, his son Artem, all relatives, loved ones, friends, and comrades-in-arms. The community shares the pain of this irreparable loss and bows its head in mourning in memory of the defender.
The farewell to Serhii Ronevych will take place according to the following schedule:
- today at 19:00, a memorial service will be held at the Church of the Most Holy Mother of God, Sovereign Lady of Ukraine;
- tomorrow, June 8, at 10:45, the funeral rite will begin;
- the soldier will be buried on the Alley of Heroes at the Bendiuzke Cemetery.
