Sheptytskyi accepts applications for payments to veterans who have lost their sight

In Sheptytskyi, from 1 to 31 July, applications are being accepted from male and female veterans who completely or partially lost their sight while defending Ukraine, for a one-off cash payment.

The payments are provided under the Ukrainian Red Cross Society programme. Each participant in the programme may receive up to UAH 95,000 to purchase household or specialised adaptive equipment. This refers to equipment that will make a home more comfortable, safer and more convenient for everyday use by people with visual impairments.

Those eligible to submit documents include combatants and persons with disabilities resulting from the war who lost their sight specifically while defending Ukraine. The application, together with the required set of documents, should be submitted to the Department of Labour and Social Protection of the Population at: Sheptytskyi, 1 Sokal Street, 4th floor, office 404.

Funds will be transferred to a special bank account from 1 August. They may be used only to pay for goods from the approved list, and this must be done by 30 October.

At the city council, they note that the detailed procedure for submitting documents and the conditions for participation in the programme were explained by the head of the Veterans Policy Department, Mariya Fedash.
