In Yavoriv, at approximately 12:00, a reception is planned for the cortege bearing the body of the fallen defender Serhii Kovalyk, which is heading to his native village of Chernyliava. This was reported by the Yavoriv community.
The cortege will drive along Makoveia Street and stop at the roundabout near the old cemetery, where residents are urged to gather to pay their respects to the fallen soldier.
After a brief stop in Yavoriv, the procession will continue to Chernyliava. In Serhii Kovalyk’s native village, he will be met by his family, friends, acquaintances and fellow villagers, where the farewell and funeral service will take place.
Residents of the community are asked to join the reception of the cortege, to duly honour the memory of the fallen defender and to pray together for the repose of his soul.
