An experimental pilot of a new fixed-term military service contract system has been launched in Ukraine, featuring extended types of contracts and additional financial and social guarantees. The project has been introduced pursuant to Resolution No. 768 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 12 June 2026.
The new model provides clearly defined contract service periods ranging from 6 to 24 months, depending on the position and category of service member. Several types of contracts are being introduced: infantry assault, combat and basic.
Participants in the project will receive increased pay, as well as additional payments for carrying out combat missions. On completion of the contract, service members are guaranteed a deferral from mobilisation.
Another important innovation is the opportunity to choose one’s area of service and position independently, in line with one’s own skills and experience. The experimental project will run for two years, until June 2028.
For detailed information on the conditions of service and signing a contract, residents of Sokal and the surrounding area are advised to contact the recruitment office at: Sokal, 2 Semenyuka Street.
