Arsen Mykulchyn from Sosnivka claimed victory at Stage I of the Open Individual Ukrainian Speedway Championship in the 250 cc class, held in Rivne. This was reported by the Sheptytskyi City Council.
The competition took place on 24 May at the Mototrek Stadium in Rivne. The championship featured the strongest Ukrainian speedway riders, as well as athletes from Latvia and Poland. Races were held in the 50, 140, 250 and 500 cc motorcycle classes.
In the 250 cc heats, Arsen Mykulchyn, representing the city of Sheptytskyi and the sports club “Zakhid”, finished ahead of his rivals from Rivne. Second place went to Volodymyr Skorokhod (NGO STC “Marchenko-Speedway”), and third to Tymofii Zakharov (KZ RMSTK), both athletes from Rivne.
The Sheptytskyi City Council noted that Arsen Mykulchyn’s victory was a significant achievement for the community and wished the athlete success in the next stages of the championship.
