Free swimming lessons for military personnel, war veterans and family members of fallen Ukrainian defenders have started in Lviv.
Swimming is one of the best means of rehabilitation. That is why the Department of Sports and Youth Policy, in cooperation with the Training and Sports Base for Summer Sports of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, has launched a new area within the Comprehensive Program for the Development of Sports for Military, War Veterans and Adaptive Sports.
Free swimming lessons will be held in the pool at 39A Kleparivska Street, where active accessibility and barrier-free works are underway.
The service can be used by anyone:
- combatants, war veterans
- military personnel serving in the military units of the Lviv community (according to preliminary lists formed by the military unit)
- military personnel undergoing rehabilitation in Lviv region
- Family members of the fallen Defenders of Ukraine
- Family members of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes

As a reminder, free training in running, boxing, judo, taekwondo and parathlon, kickboxing and general adaptive training is being held in Lviv as part of the Comprehensive Program for the Development of Sports for Military, War Veterans and Adaptive Sports.
