Hydrological Situation in Lviv Region on July 17

The hydrological situation in Lviv region is changing due to precipitation.

According to the hydrometeorological network, between 0 and 12 mm of precipitation fell in the Lviv region over the past day. On the rivers of the Sian and Dniester basins, there was a slight fluctuation in water levels within the range of 1 – 11 cm with a tendency to fall. **On certain rivers in the Western Bug basins and in the upper reaches of the Styr River**, there was a gradual increase in water levels by 4 – 10 cm, while in the rest of the rivers the water levels decreased by 2 – 16 cm per day.

In the area of the GP Western Bug River – Kamyanka-Buzka, Poltva River – Busk, the water remained on the floodplain with a layer of 101 and 41 cm respectively. *Due to expected heavy and intense precipitation on the following day, most rivers in the Dniester and Western Bug basins are expected to experience an increase in water levels*, according to the hydrometeorological service. In the rest of the rivers in the region, water levels are expected to predominantly fall.

In the area of the GP Western Bug River – Kamyanka-Buzka, Poltva River – Busk, the water will remain on the floodplain. In the second half of the day on July 17, the formation of the maximum water level is expected.
