Increase in Passenger Traffic in Lviv Region before Easter
In the pre-Easter period, the Lviv region traditionally sees an increase in passenger traffic – in just the last week, traffic through checkpoints has increased by 7%. This was disclosed during a briefing at the Lviv Regional State Administration by representatives of the 7th Border Carpathian Unit.
Recommendations for Travelers
Currently, the region has 7 road and 4 rail checkpoints in operation. The busiest checkpoints are Krakowiec, Shehyni, and Rava-Ruska. Border guards advise planning trips in advance and choosing alternative routes such as Smilnytsia, Hrushev, and especially the new checkpoint Nyzhankovychi–Malhovytsya.
Recruitment for Military Service
Additionally, during the briefing, they reminded of the recruitment for contract military service. The main advantage is the ability to serve in the Lviv region for the first year without rotations to combat zones. Positions available include border service inspectors, drivers, paramedics, communications personnel, technicians, and others.
