In the “Best Sommelier of Ukraine-2026” competition, Lviv resident Bohdan Pavliukh emerged victorious. He earned this title among 12 participants from various cities across Ukraine, affirming the high level of Lviv’s professional community. The victory opens up the opportunity to represent Ukraine in international competitions.
Bohdan Pavliukh, Head Sommelier of the restaurant “La Luce” and wine bars “ZWIN”, noted that the preparation lasted two months, during which he studied for five hours daily. He emphasised the importance of raising personal standards for the development of the market.
The competition, organised by the Sommelier Association of Ukraine, has been held annually for over 20 years and is recognised by the international association. This year’s programme met international standards, including a theoretical block in English and practical skills.
The Lviv HoReCa community has once again confirmed its status at the national level, reflecting the development of the city’s gastronomic culture and the high level of professional training.
