On the “Lviv–Zhovkva” highway in the village of Malekhiv in Lviv district, a road traffic collision occurred in which a motorcyclist was injured.
The crash took place on 10 August at around 07:20. According to preliminary information, a Renault Trafic driven by a resident of Lviv district and a Tekken motorcycle, also ridden by a resident of Lviv district, collided.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist sustained bodily injuries and was taken to hospital.
Investigators from Police Station No.1 of Lviv District Police Department No.1 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restraint of liberty with disqualification from driving for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
