3–6 July, across the Lviv region, with the exception of the mountainous areas, an extreme fire danger of class 5 is expected. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorological Centre.
Rescuers emphasise the need to strictly observe fire safety rules in order to prevent fires in forests and natural ecosystems.
In particular, residents and visitors to the region are asked to:
- not light campfires in unauthorised places and not leave fires unattended;
- carefully extinguish a fire with water or cover it with soil before leaving;
- not throw cigarette ends and matches on the ground, especially in dry weather;
- not burn dry vegetation.
Rescuers urge everyone to protect nature, the work of emergency service professionals, and their own lives.
