In Lviv Region, 42 Fires in Ecosystems Extinguished in a Day

In the Lviv Region, rescuers extinguished 42 fires in natural ecosystems over the past day, covering a total area of 6.6 hectares. The fire spread across fields, roadsides, areas near railway tracks, and forested areas.

The cause of such fires is often human carelessness or deliberate burning of dry grass. The State Emergency Service urges residents of the region not to burn dry grass and rubbish, as this can lead to large-scale fires, posing a threat to residential buildings and even human lives.

Rescuers emphasise the importance of preserving nature and safety, as thick smoke from fires poses a danger to people and the environment.
