In the Lviv Region, 12 grass fires occurred in the last day, covering an area of over 4,800 square metres. A fire that starts as a “small ignition” quickly turns into an uncontrollable force, threatening buildings and people’s homes.
These fires are the result of human decisions that lead to danger. The fire creeps towards trees, buildings, and new constructions, and only the wind can turn a few metres into dozens.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv Region urges people not to set fire to dry grass to avoid danger. Do not create a threat where it can be avoided.
