Over the course of 24 hours in the territory of Lviv region, 13 fires were recorded, 7 of which occurred in natural ecosystems. Thanks to the actions of firefighters, the destruction by fire of three buildings was prevented.
Firefighters stress that most outbreaks are caused by basic carelessness and breaches of fire safety rules. Electrical appliances, heaters and open flames must not be left unattended; it is important to monitor the condition of the electrical wiring and gas equipment in the home.
Specialists separately warn people not to burn dry vegetation, grass or plant residues. Such actions are one of the main causes of fires in ecosystems, which can quickly spread to residential buildings and forested areas.
Firefighters emphasise that careful handling of fire and adherence to safety rules today can save someone's life tomorrow.
