In Lviv region, over the past day, rescuers have extinguished 35 fires in natural ecosystems. According to preliminary data, the blaze has scorched more than 2 hectares of dry vegetation.
The State Emergency Service notes that its units continue to tackle blazes in natural ecosystems wherever this is required.
Rescuers remind the public that setting fire to dry vegetation is dangerous for people and the environment. Wind can quickly turn a small bonfire into an uncontrollable wildfire.
