In the Lviv region, from 2–4 September, there will be an extreme (5th class) and high (4th class) fire danger. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology of Ukraine.
Rescuers are urging residents of the region to strictly observe fire safety rules in order to prevent fires in natural ecosystems.
In particular, citizens are advised to:
- not burn dry grass or rubbish;
- not light campfires in forests or near dry vegetation;
- not throw cigarette ends or matches on the ground;
- not leave open flames unattended.
Rescuers stress that a single careless action can destroy hectares of nature and pose a threat to human life.
