Over the past 24 hours in Lviv region, firefighters have extinguished 33 fires, including 19 blazes in natural ecosystems. Fire crews prevented five buildings from being destroyed by the flames.
According to available information, the most common cause of fires remains human carelessness. Rescuers are urging residents of the region not to burn dry grass and to strictly observe fire safety rules.
The rescue service stresses that they work around the clock, but personal safety depends on the responsible behaviour of each individual.
