Over the past 24 hours, Lviv region has recorded six fires. One person was injured in one of them. Thanks to the swift actions of firefighters, four people, including one child, were rescued, and five buildings were saved from being destroyed by fire.
Rescuers stress that fire spreads rapidly, and neglecting safety rules can cost lives. To reduce risks, residents are advised to follow the basic fire safety requirements.
SES recommends:
- do not leave electrical appliances switched on and unattended;
- do not overload the electrical network and monitor its condition;
- use heaters and heating appliances with care;
- do not leave open flames unattended;
- do not leave children alone near sources of fire and heating appliances;
- in the event of a fire, call 101 immediately.
Rescuers emphasise that safety begins with each individual’s personal responsibility.
