Over the past 24 hours, 10 fires have been recorded in the territory of the Lviv region, of which five broke out in natural ecosystems. Thanks to the swift actions of firefighters, three buildings and a car were saved from being destroyed by the flames.
Fires in natural ecosystems remain a serious threat, as flames in dry grass and shrubs can spread rapidly, especially in windy and dry weather, creating danger for residential buildings, farm structures and natural areas.
Firefighters are urging residents of the region to act responsibly: do not burn dry vegetation or rubbish, do not leave fires unattended and follow fire safety rules. They stress that a single careless action can cause a major fire.
