In a field near the village of Stodilky in the Horodok urban territorial community of Lviv district, a 76 mm artillery shell dating back to the Second World War was discovered.
The munition was found during earthworks. The people who came across the dangerous object reported it to the emergency services.
EOD technicians from the Lviv Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Centre of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine arrived at the scene. The specialists removed and destroyed the discovered munition in accordance with established procedure.
Rescuers remind the public that if you discover any suspicious or potentially explosive objects, you must not touch them, move them or attempt to neutralise them yourself. Such finds should be reported immediately by calling 101 or 102, and you should move away to a safe distance.
