The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office identified violations in the tender for the reconstruction of the reception department of the Sokal District Hospital. The cost of the works amounted to almost 52 million UAH. Prosecutors discovered that the entrepreneur who won the tender did not provide a schedule of works and unjustifiably included the single tax and military levy in the price.
The client was supposed to reject such a proposal but declared the entrepreneur the winner. In response, the Sheptytsky District Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit to declare the contract invalid. During the court proceedings, the regional prosecutor’s office joined the case, and eventually, the contract was annulled.
Thanks to the actions of the prosecutor’s office, the illegal use of budget funds was prevented.
