Zolochiv District has become the site of an unexpected discovery: pyrotechnicians found and destroyed a 57mm artillery shell from World War II. On 13 April, specialists from the Mobile Rescue Centre ‘Lviv’ of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine carried out the operation to remove and destroy it.
This dangerous item was discovered on 10 April near Rozvazh village during earthworks in a field. Rescue officers quickly identified and marked the location of the item to avoid potential accidents.
The main office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region reminds people of the importance of observing safety rules when encountering explosive objects. Do not touch, move, or dismantle such items, as this can be extremely dangerous. If you find a hazardous object, immediately call ‘101’ or ‘102’.
