A road traffic accident occurred in Lviv Oblast involving a young motorcycle driver. It is known that the accident took place on April 12 at around 19:45 in one of the villages of the Drohobych District. An 18-year-old local resident, unable to control a Geon ON-250 motorcycle, went off-road and fell.
As a result of the incident, both the driver and a passenger, a fellow villager of the same age, sustained bodily injuries and were hospitalised. A criminal case has been initiated for violating road safety rules while intoxicated. The penalty includes up to three years imprisonment and a loss of driving privileges for a period of three to five years.
It was established that the motorcyclist was in a state of alcohol intoxication. He is detained according to the Criminal Procedure Code, and the court will soon determine a preventive measure. Law enforcement authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
