In Maloholoskivskyi Park in Lviv, a passer-by discovered an object resembling an outdated munition. The woman immediately called the rescue service, without attempting to move or inspect it herself.
Explosive ordnance disposal experts from the Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Centre “Lviv” of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine arrived at the scene. Specialists removed the dangerous item and destroyed it in a controlled operation.
Rescuers stress that if you come across any suspicious objects that may be munitions, you must move away to a safe distance, avoid touching the item and call 101 immediately. Even outdated munitions remain dangerous, so only specialists should deal with making them safe.
