A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car on Naukova Street in Lviv. The incident occurred on 6 August at around 16:45.
According to preliminary police reports, the collision involved a Volkswagen driven by a 50-year-old Lviv resident and a Kawasaki motorcycle ridden by a 32-year-old resident of Lviv district.
As a result of the road traffic accident, the motorcyclist sustained bodily injuries and was taken to hospital.
Investigators from Lviv District Police Department No. 2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road traffic safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
