
On Yeroshенка Street in Lviv on the evening of 12 August, a Škoda Octavia passenger car caught fire. The blaze was extinguished by firefighters, and there were no casualties.
The report of the car catching fire was received by the rescue service at 18:41. Fire and rescue crews from Lviv were promptly dispatched to the scene.
According to the available information, while driving the motorist noticed smoke coming from under the bonnet. The man stopped the car and tried to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher, and other drivers also joined in the effort to extinguish the fire. However, it was not possible to tackle the blaze on their own, and the flames quickly spread throughout the entire vehicle.
By the time the firefighters arrived, the Škoda Octavia car was already completely engulfed in flames. The fire was contained at 19:07 and fully extinguished at 19:14.
No one was injured as a result of the incident. Specialists are establishing the cause of the fire and other circumstances of the incident.
