In the village of Nova Kam’yanka in Lviv district, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicle caught fire during the night. The report of the blaze reached the Rescue Service “101” on 1 August at 04:16.
Fire and rescue units from Rava-Ruska and the local fire brigade of the village of Byshkiv were dispatched to the scene. By the time the firefighters arrived, the minibus was already completely engulfed in flames and there was a risk that the fire could spread to a nearby residential building and an outbuilding.
The fire was contained at 05:01 and fully extinguished at 05:09. Five rescuers and two units of specialist equipment were involved in tackling the blaze. No one was injured in the incident.
The causes and circumstances of the vehicle fire are being established by law enforcement agencies.
