In the village of Vypysky in Lviv district, an obsolete artillery munition was discovered during earthworks. The incident occurred on 10 September.
A community rescue officer arrived at the scene and established that the item found was a 230 mm artillery shell dating back to the Second World War.
On 11 September, the pyrotechnic team of the MRC ShR “Lviv” of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine removed and destroyed, in accordance with established procedure, 9 pieces of munitions.
Rescuers remind the public: if you discover any suspicious objects, do not touch or approach them, do not move, dismantle or attempt to neutralise them yourself. You must move away to a safe distance, warn other people and immediately call the Rescue Service on 101.
