In the city of Sheptytskyi, a fire broke out in a flat in a multi-storey residential building, during which two people were injured. The report of the blaze reached the Rescue Service on 5 September at 16:15.
The fire started in a flat on the eighth floor of a nine-storey residential building. By the time the fire and rescue units arrived, the dwelling was already engulfed in flames and fire was pouring out from the balcony.
Before the rescuers arrived, eyewitnesses carried the flat owner out onto the stairwell. Fire and rescue crews transported the injured man on a stretcher to the ambulance.
The fire was contained at 16:34 and fully extinguished at 16:36. The cause of the fire and the circumstances of the incident are being established by specialists.
