In the town of Sheptytskyi in Lviv region, an unknown man attacked a serviceman of the Territorial Recruitment Centre while mobilisation notices were being served. The victim is currently in intensive care.
The incident occurred on 11 October at around 16:20 on Tarnavskoho Street. According to preliminary information, during activities to notify the population about mobilisation and to check military registration documents, the assailant attacked a serviceman from the notification group and struck him, probably with a knife, in the neck, after which he fled.
Other members of the notification group provided first aid to the wounded man and called an emergency medical team. The victim was taken to hospital, where he is in the intensive care unit.
A criminal investigation team and officers from other units of the Sheptytskyi District Police Department, as well as criminal investigation officers and other divisions of the Lviv region police, have been involved in solving the crime.
Law enforcement officers are taking measures to identify and detain the attacker, and the issue of the legal classification of the incident is being decided.
