At the coach station in Sheptytskyi on Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street, a man damaged the windscreen of a scheduled bus. The incident was reported to the emergency line “102”.
Officers from the Sheptytskyi District Police Department attended the scene. They found the damaged bus, whose driver submitted a written statement about the incident to law enforcement officers.
Nearby, the police found a 42-year-old man who, according to preliminary indications, was under the influence of alcohol, behaving aggressively and excitedly, and then suddenly lost consciousness.
Together with an ambulance crew, the officers took the man to the admissions department of Sokal Hospital. Due to behavioural disorders, he was referred to a specialised facility.
The police are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident and deciding how to legally classify the man's actions. Once his condition stabilises, they plan to draw up the relevant administrative or procedural documents; the investigation is ongoing.
