In Sheptytskyi, a citizen is accused of inflicting fatal injuries on his acquaintance due to jealousy. The incident occurred on 26 December around 21:30 in a flat on Chornovola Street. The perpetrator inflicted two strikes with a sharp object to the woman’s chest, resulting in serious internal organ damage and acute blood loss. The next day, the victim died in hospital.
The authorities quickly determined the suspect’s whereabouts and detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings, initiated under the procedural guidance of the Sheptytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office pursuant to part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, has been completed and the indictment has been submitted to the court for further consideration.
