In the town of Sheptytskyi, police have detained a 25-year-old local resident suspected of purchasing and trafficking drugs. He was distributing cannabis to addicts through “hand-to-hand” exchanges.
The criminal was exposed by criminal police operatives in collaboration with investigators and other services of police department No.1 of the Sheptytskyi district department under the procedural guidance of the Sheptytskyi district prosecutor’s office. The arrest occurred on 20 May following another drug deal.
The suspect has been charged in accordance with Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces a possible sentence of up to 10 years imprisonment with confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
