In the town of Sokal in the Sheptytskyi district, a fire broke out in a residential building when a washing machine caught fire. The State Emergency Service “101” was alerted to the blaze on 11 July at 12:26.

The fire was brought under control at 12:43. According to emergency services, no one was injured as a result of the incident.
Firefighters stress that washing machines and other electrical appliances can become a source of fire due to faults, short circuits or overloading of the electrical network. They advise checking that appliances are in good working order before use, not switching on too many powerful devices at the same time, and not leaving them running unattended.
The State Emergency Service underlines that observing fire safety rules helps protect life, health and property.
