In Stryi, on Drogobytska Street, a road traffic accident occurred on 2nd May at around 08:50 in the morning, in which a motorcyclist was injured. The incident resulted from a collision between a Renault Scenic car and a BSE motorcycle.
The car was driven by a 35-year-old resident of the Stryi district, while a 19-year-old local resident was driving the motorcycle. The collision led to the hospitalisation of the motorcyclist with bodily injuries.
Investigators have opened a criminal investigation regarding the accident under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules). The maximum penalty may include up to three years’ restriction of liberty and disqualification from driving for up to three years.
The police are examining the details of the incident to establish all the circumstances.
