Over the course of a day in the Lviv region, 10 road traffic collisions with casualties were recorded. As a result of these crashes, 12 people were injured, including four pedestrians, and one person was killed.
Drivers are reminded that overtaking is prohibited when approaching pedestrian crossings. You must reduce your speed and carefully watch the verges and pavements in order to spot pedestrians in good time.
Pedestrians are advised, before stepping onto the carriageway, to make sure it is safe to cross and to strictly observe the Highway Code, as well as to ensure they are clearly visible to other road users.
All road users are urged to take care of themselves and to comply strictly with the Highway Code.
