In Drohobych, as part of preparations for the heating season, from 06:00 on 21 October to 06:00 on 22 October the water supply from the Hirne intake will be completely suspended. This was reported by the municipal utility Drohobychvodokanal.
For the duration of the shutdown of the water intake, the streets Sportyvna, Truskavetska, Viitivska Hora, Boryslavska, Horishnia Brama, Mykhaila Hrushevskoho, Stryiska, Volodymyra Velykoho, Budivelna, Naftovykiv, Rynok Square, the adjacent streets and lanes, as well as the villages of Ranevychi, Pochaievychi and Mykhailevychi will be left without centralised water supply.
The microdistrict of Y. Konovalets Street will be supplied with water from reservoirs for the duration of the works, so the supply there will be maintained.
The municipal enterprise warns that after the completion of repair works, the water may temporarily become more turbid and have a higher chlorine content. Residents are advised, once the water supply is restored, to open the tap and let a small amount of water run, and during the first few hours to use it for drinking only after boiling.
