A storm warning has been issued in Lviv for 6 September: according to the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorological Centre, in the morning and during the day the city is expected to experience strong north-westerly wind gusts of 15–20 m/s. The City Council is urging residents to take the forecast into account and plan their activities with the anticipated deterioration in weather conditions in mind.
The Department for Civil Protection and Territorial Defence of the Lviv City Council reminds the public that during strong winds it is important to avoid large trees, power lines, aerials, billboards and other large structures. Wind gusts may damage them, posing a danger to people nearby.
In the event of dangerous or unforeseen situations, residents are asked to contact the city’s Hotline on 15–80.
