In Lviv, dense fog with visibility of 200–500 metres is expected overnight and in the morning of 30 August. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorology Centre, on the basis of which the city authorities issued a warning to residents.
The city council is asking drivers, during periods of fog, to choose a moderate speed, maintain a safe distance between vehicles and be sure to switch on their headlights. Pedestrians are advised to cross the road only at designated places and to use reflective items — bands, stickers, vests or other means — to make themselves more visible to drivers.
In the event of unforeseen situations, residents are urged to contact the city’s “Hotline” on the short number 15-80.
