In 2025, the Lviv region became a popular destination for tourists, with over 258,000 people visiting the ‘Skole Beskids’.
The head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported that the top three most visited sites also included the Tustan Reserve with over 188,000 visitors and the ‘Drohobych Region’ museum with nearly 59,000 tourists. The total tourist tax revenue in Lviv in 2025 exceeded 63.1 million hryvnias, which is 16 million more than in 2024.
As part of the regional project ‘Travel Therapy’, 50 trips were conducted for the Defenders and their families, involving 1,396 participants. Additionally, a week of Jewish cultural heritage was held, and five new murals appeared in Sheptytsky as part of the ‘Sheptytsky StreetArt’ project.
A new travel project ‘Lviv+’ was launched, opening up little-known routes, and two promotional tours were conducted for French partners. A project on the development of inclusive tourism was implemented, with the installation of a tactile mini-sculpture of the Church of St. George in Drohobych.
‘Tourism in wartime is not just about travel. It’s about filling local budgets, providing an opportunity to showcase Lviv to the world, and offering a space for the recovery and rest of our soldiers. I sincerely thank the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism, all workers in the tourism industry, and everyone working on its development. We continue’, emphasized the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi.
