The department is ready to act as a coordinator of the process of implementation of the knowledge system at the regional level, as it understands the importance of knowledge for the development of agrarians in Lviv Oblast.
International experts of the EU project “Institutional and Political Reform of Small-Scale Agriculture in Ukraine” Richard Rozwadowski and Kieran Gannon presented the AKIS knowledge and innovation transfer system and discussed the challenges and solutions facing the Working Group. Richard Rozwadowski emphasized that supporting the promotion of knowledge and innovation is a priority of the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy, and AKIS will contribute to the development of innovative projects for a sustainable agricultural sector.
According to Kieran Gannon, AKIS encompasses all people and organizations that create, disseminate and use knowledge and innovation in agriculture and related fields.
