A modular two-story house was built in Drohobych for displaced people

The house is designed for 80 people.

A 12-apartment building for IDPs is being prepared for commissioning in Drohobych. This is a modular frame prefabricated house, the construction of which was spent 24 million hryvnias. Funds from the state, regional and city budgets, as well as philanthropists, contributed financially.

“There are 4 one-room and 8 two-room apartments that can accommodate 80 people. Currently, all communications are connected, repair work is nearing completion. In the near future, new residents will be able to receive the keys to their new homes. This is the first housing of this type for evacuees from more dangerous areas of our country in the Drohobytsky district. The construction company gives a guarantee for such modular houses for 20 years.

This winter, 12 displaced families will be able to meet in new cozy homes. Because the war continues, the new residents of our district still have nowhere to return, so all together and with the support of international partners, we are taking care of decent living conditions for our compatriots who left their homes, fleeing from shelling,” said Stepan Kulinyak, head of the Drohobytsk RVA.

This housing is temporary, the priority criteria for providing housing for forcibly mixed persons are determined by the Department of Urban Economy together with the social services of the city of Drohobych.

The international humanitarian organization “Man in Need”, which has been helping Ukrainians affected by the war since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, has already sent essential items here. It is about beds, mattresses and household appliances.
