The fountain near the Opera House in Lviv will not be operational on Friday, 8th May. This is due to maintenance work, as announced by the Halytskyi District Administration. A check-up of the nozzles and equipment is planned, which will last throughout the day.
It is noted that the fountain will resume its usual operation on Saturday.
The fountain on Svobody Avenue is a dry one: water jets directly from underneath the stone pavement of the square, with the central jet being the tallest, surrounded by dozens of smaller jets. Other decorative fountains in Lviv are operational at the following locations: Halytska Square (“Da Vinci” fountain), Krynychna Square near “Pidzamche” station, and Dvirtseva Square (near the Railway Station).
