
Water Level Increase on the Rivers of Lviv Region Due to Precipitation
Overview of the hydrological situation on the rivers of Lviv Region as of 08:00 on May 4, 2025:
According to the hydrometeorological network, 0.6 – 14 mm, in some places 16 – 21 mm of precipitation fell across the territory of Lviv Region during the day.
On the previous day, due to precipitation, the rivers in the Dniester basin experienced a water level rise of 1 – 9 cm; only at the hydrological post of the Dniester river at the village of Strylky was there a sharp increase in water level by 36 cm.
On the lowland rivers of the San and Western Bug basins, a slight increase in water levels up to 4 cm per day prevailed.
The water temperature on the mountain tributaries of the Dniester was 4.9 – 15.0°, while on the rest of the region’s rivers it was 9.4 – 17.0°.
