Queues of cars build up on the Ukrainian-Polish border

At the Ukrainian-Polish border, there is currently a build-up of vehicles leaving Ukraine at several checkpoints. This was reported by the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

According to border guards, the following queues have formed for leaving Ukraine:

  • “Krakivets” – around 70 cars;
  • “Shehyni” – around 40 cars;
  • “Uhryniv” – around 20 cars;
  • “Hrushiv” – around 20 cars;
  • “Ustyluh” – around 55 cars.

On entry into Ukraine, a queue has been recorded at the “Ustyluh” checkpoint – approximately 10 cars.

At present, the checkpoints “Rava-Ruska”, “Smilnytsia” and “Nyzhankovychi” are not congested for traffic leaving Ukraine. Border guards recommend that drivers planning to cross the border choose, where possible, less busy checkpoints.

Current information on queue lengths and the workload of checkpoints can be tracked on the Facebook page of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
