During the pre-trial investigation into the fact of committing crimes in the sphere of illegal economic activity, more than 400,000 packs of cigarettes with a filter and without a filter, which meet state quality standards, were handed over to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Their estimated cost is about UAH 12 million.
The above-mentioned goods were seized and seized during searches within the framework of criminal proceedings on the facts of illegal acquisition and storage for the purpose of selling illegally manufactured tobacco products, as well as illegal acquisition, storage, for the purpose of using counterfeit excise tax stamps in the sale of goods (Part 1 of Article 199, Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In the future, the investigating judge in accordance with the requirements of Art. 100 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, with the participation of the participants in the criminal proceedings, the issue of material evidence was resolved. The authority of the pre-trial investigation was given permission to transfer them to the needs of the army.
Tobacco products were handed over to representatives of ten military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Currently, all necessary investigative actions have been carried out in the criminal proceedings and the pre-trial investigation has been completed – the indictment has been sent to the court.
