During the current year, more than 9.2 billion hryvnias have been allocated to finance communal health care facilities in the Lviv region. Medical institutions of the region will receive over UAH 7.8 billion from the state budget through the National Health Service of Ukraine and almost UAH 1.4 billion from local budgets.

Local budgets are used to fulfill the powers of local authorities in the health care system of the region and medical enterprises are co-financed.
In particular, about half (UAH 690 million) of local budgets is used to pay for utilities and energy consumed, UAH 328 million or 23 percent is planned to be spent on salaries, UAH 144 million on medicines for privileged categories and UAH 144 million in benefits. or 10 percent of total costs.
Also, within the framework of the regional health care support program, more than UAH 36 million is provided for the provision of medicines to children with disabilities, UAH 5.5 million is provided for specialized medical care to victims of the Revolution of Dignity and the anti-terrorist operation. cancer patients – UAH 13 million, treatment of other diseases – UAH 27 million. By the way, about 5 million hryvnias have already been allocated from the regional budget for this purpose.
In total, municipal medical institutions of the region for the four months of this year from the budgets of all levels received 3.1 billion UAH, of which financial assistance from local budgets – 559 million UAH.
