The mayor of Lviv briefly described the situation in the city

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy commented on the situation in the city as of today – the 6th day of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.

“In difficult times, it is very clear who is who. We are proud of each of our warriors, who protects every meter of our land. Today it is very important that everyone does their job well.

What do we have in Lviv? When the mobilization began, summonses began to arrive at the military registration and enlistment office. There are more people willing to join the army than agendas. We have already formed the 103rd brigade. Now we are forming the 125th brigade. There are queues. When they were called to register for the city, more than 3,000 Lviv residents signed up in less than a day. Today we have formed 30 hundred people who patrol our city. Anyone who still wants to join should go and enroll in the district administration.

Lviv entrepreneurs started making anti-tank hedgehogs. We even spent all our rails as much as possible at our Lvivelectrotrans enterprise, and together we are preparing to defend our city. I am in contact with Klitschko, with the mayor of Mariupol Boychenko, with other colleagues-mayors. Today it is important for everyone to be together. We hand over humanitarian aid to Lviv where it is most needed.

Today we receive those people who temporarily need our care. These are children and women. If men come after bringing their relatives, we suggest that they return home immediately to defend their city or village. There is no such possibility – please enroll in the territorial defense. Today Lviv does not receive guests, today everyone must defend their land.

No alcohol in shops or cafes. Let’s win the war – then we will celebrate. Glory to Ukraine! ”Said Andriy Sadovy.
