Asphalting of a bicycle path on Chornovil Avenue has begun in Lviv. All works are financed by the developer. They are scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
This was reported by the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council.
As a reminder, we are talking about two sections – from house No. 65 to Pancha Street and from Arsen shopping centre to Varshavska Street, with a total length of 973 metres.
As a reminder, the construction of this cycle track began in previous years. Therefore, the sand and gravel base and curbs had already been laid. After a break, the work resumed in early October this year. “In particular, the existing base was cleaned and deepened, and a levelling layer of crushed stone and asphalt concrete was arranged. And yesterday, we actually started asphalting. We started on the section from Varshavska Street in the direction of the Arsen shopping centre,” said the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of Lviv City Council.
“The work is being carried out by Onur and financed by Lviv Investment Company LLC.
Upon completion of all the works, a continuous bicycle lane will run along the avenue towards the city centre, connecting the existing paths on Varshavska and Lypynskoho streets.
We would like to add that a part of the cycle track on Chornovola Avenue, near the Arsen shopping centre, was arranged by a business in conjunction with the landscaping.
Also, a pedestrian boulevard will be arranged on Chornovola Avenue, from Lypynskoho Street to Varshavska Street. To overhaul this section, the temporary structures located there will be dismantled.
