The project was implemented with the support of local authorities and with the assistance of international humanitarian organizations.
Today, on August 9, as part of her working visit to Sambir district, Khrystyna Zamula, Deputy Head of Lviv Regional State Administration, inspected the converted educational building of Nyzhankovytske Vocational Lyceum in Dobromyl for the accommodation of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The building was modernized and adapted to meet the needs of different categories of IDPs. The building underwent major repairs, including the replacement of the roof, windows and doors, utilities, interior finishing works in living rooms, bathrooms/showers, corridors, staircases, modernization of the boiler room, installation of a ramp for people with limited mobility, and purchase of furniture and appliances.
“This was an important step in providing housing conditions for people who were forced to leave their homes due to the hostilities. The project was implemented with the support of the local authorities and with the assistance of international humanitarian organizations, which helped to create comfortable living conditions for those who need help in this difficult time,” said Khrystyna Zamula.
Thus, UAH 12.7 million was allocated from the regional budget and more than UAH 19 million from donors and local authorities for the overhaul of the facility.
The refurbished educational building of the Nyzhankovytske Vocational Lyceum will help provide shelter for more than 190 internally displaced people.
